Private Tours of the Wine Estate
Guests are greeted with a taste of Chateau Julien wine at the grand front entrance of the Estate. An experienced winery guide shares the history of Chateau Julien Wine Estate and the essence of winemaking throughout a tour of the 16-acre Estate including the Chateau, Chai (barrel room), vineyards and cellar operations. The full production Wine Estate allows guests to learn about every aspect of winemaking, from the vine to the bottle. Contingent upon the winemaking activity, guests may have the opportunity to see grapes being pressed or taste the clusters right off the vines. A variety of six different Chateau Julien wines will be tasted throughout the tour, concluding with a taste of Juilen Port or Carmel Cream Sherry in the majestic Great Hall. Guests are given the opportunity to purchase wine or special gifts after the tour.
THE WINEMAKER'S TOUR (approximately 1-1/2 hours)
Winemaker Bill Anderson will be your personal tour guide during a behind-the-scenes tour of the Wine Estate. Taste hidden gems, favorite library wines and Proprietary blends with a barrel tasting of red wine aging in the Chai. Guests finish at the Château with a generous artisan cheese and fruit plate and a taste of Quinta Port or Carmel Cream Sherry. $100 /guest plus tax
THE GRAND ESTATE TOUR (approximately 1-1/2 hours)
Guests taste limited production Private Reserve wines with a special sampling of aging wine from a barrel. We conclude the tour on the Garden Cobblestone Courtyard with an array of cheeses, fruit, and crackers. Guests take home a keepsake wine glass. $35 /guest plus tax
THE CHATEAU TOUR (approximately 1 hour)
A tasting of limited & specialty wines will be offered during the tour of the Wine Estate, including a Winemaker’s choice of aging wine from a barrel or tank. Guests take home a keepsake wine glass.
$25 /guest plus tax
LE PETIT TOUR (approximately 1 hour)
Your winery tour guide will share the history of Château Julien Wine Estate, fun wine facts and local wine country information while tasting a selection of wines throughout the tour. $20 /guest plus tax
CUSTOMIZED TOURS
In addition to the above Group Tour options of the Estate, we offer several different options for personalized tours including grape stomps, team-building activities and cooking demonstrations. Pricing upon request.
Private Wine Tasting at the Vintner Salon
The Wine Estate's exquisitely appointed Vintner Salon features exclusive tasting options for an enhanced wine experience, hosted by a Certified Specialist of Wine /Sommelier. Space is limited. Advance reservations are recommended. Options include a Back to the Basics tasting & Decades of Wine Tasting.
BACK TO BASICS
A casual, fun hour of basic wine tasting where guests learn all there is to know about the components of wine, different varietals, aromas and aging. Groups may request specifi c areas of interest prior to the visit. $25 per person
DECADES OF WINE TASTING
Hand-selected wines will be pulled from over 25 vintages stored in the Wine Estate’s library for an in-depth tasting and exploration of Château Julien’s finest. A special and unique tasting for guests interested in a more extensive, intimate tasting experience. $50 per person

The picturesque Cobblestone Garden Courtyard or Conservatory are the perfect setting for a picnic lunch and enjoying a glass of your favorite wine. Please let us know if you would like to enjoy a selection of fruit and cheese after touring the Estate, or reserve a selection of savory box lunches to picnic on the Garden Cobblestone Courtyard
