Robust black cherry, berry and cedar aromas accented by a subtle oak edge and hints of vanilla. This wine is full bodied with moderate tannins and ripe, intense fruit. A nice complexity and texture through a smooth, lingering finish. Will age nicely for up to ten years.
Château Julien wines designated “Private Reserve” signify the heritage of the winery and represent the highest quality wines produced at the Estate. Each varietal is hand harvested from select low-yield lots within the winery’s Estate Vineyard, and aged separately in new French oak barrels. The winemaker has the most freedom at making these wines his personal statement. Over the years, small production lots, traditional techniques and limited distribution have ensured ultimate quality and consistency.
