2007 La Conviviance
Production Notes
Appellation: Monterey County
Blend: 52.4% Merlot, 39.2% Malbec and 8.4% Cabernet Sauvignon
Alcohol: 14.5%

Celebrating the winery’s finest grapes, passionate winemaking and extended family of friends, La Conviviance represents distinction, quality, gusto, personality and life, in every sense of the word. A wine to enjoy with friends.

This proprietary blend was produced with the finest, hand selected Bordeaux varietals from small lot vineyards in south Monterey County. Each varietal was harvested and aged separately in 60% new French Nevers and American Missouri oak barrels for thirteen months, 10 days. The final blend consists of 52.4% Merlot, 39.2% Malbec and 8.4% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.

Winemaker Notes
Dark Bing cherry, ripe blackberry and rich chocolate essences grace the palate in this wonderfully
aromatic wine. A touch of toasted vanilla and anise add complexity to the soft, full forward fruit flavors.
Balanced with structure and acidity, this wine is a natural culinary accompaniment with a long mouthfilling
finish and beautiful deep garnet hue.

A Bordeaux-style blend of Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep purple-plum color. Wow! A complex, layered nose of coffee, leather, chocolate, and vanilla frames concentrated black currant and blackberry fruit. Full-bodied, with medium-grained tannins, this is a serious wine that will age gracefully over the next 15+ years.

“Round and silky, an opaque and ripe blackberry and lavender thriller. The tongue-washing fruit seems limitless. Elegant and brightly lit.”   - Tasting Panel Publisher, Meredith May, July 2011

Rich dark fruit aromas dominate the nose with accents of dark chocolate. The palate is mouth-filling and supple with flavors of blackberries, currants, cherries, very dark chocolate, earth, and vanilla. A fairly robust wine, with great structure, drink now if you enjoy more tannic wine. Cellar it if you prefer a softer expression.

A freshly swirled glass offers aromas of ripe cherry, rich blackberry, currants, and vanilla. Classically structured and silky smooth, dark berry flavors, notes of pepper, along with hints of earth and leather, unfold on the palate. Take note of this one.

CELLAR SELECTION - "Deep garnet color. Attractive aromas of dried apricot, waxy honeycomb, boysenberries, and toasty angel food cake with a supple fruity-yet-dry medium-to-full body and a zesty, savory cedar, pickled beet and earth accented finish. Great vibrancy and Old World meets New World style"

Ripe nose of classic cassis and cedar; elegant on the palate with ripe fruit underpinned by fresh acidity and framed by ripe tannins. A very, intense finish. Roast leg of lamb.”
