The winery’s only rose wine, Sangiovese Rosato, was produced from grapes solely harvested from the vineyard at the Estate in Carmel Valley. Two acres of the 5-acre vineyard is thinned specifi cally for the Rosato, with slightly larger berries/clusters that ultimately result in a lower sugar and higher acidity. Hand harvested, immediately crushed and pressed, this wine is fermented cold to just over 3% residual sugar and held in stainless steel tanks until bottling in the winter.

Vintage
Vintage 2010 was one of extremes. The growing season began slow, with welcomed ample rainfall followed by a cool spring, delayed bud break and shoot growth. We experienced late heat spikes after a long, cool summer which helped the vines play catch up. Ultimately we harvested two - three weeks later than average. Much attention was given to the cool and wet conditions, with canopy, grape cluster and the leaf thinning throughout the growing season to keep the fruit dry. The extended ripening period should result in highly concentrated flavors.
Winemaker Notes
Wonderfully refreshing, it is packed full of ripe strawberry flavors with lively citrus overtones. An exquisitely pretty, bright rose color wine with a fresh aroma and hint of residual sugar.Sip on a warm, sunny day or pair with a light Sunday brunch. Enjoy upon release, slightly chilled.
