Vintage
In general, bud break was a little later than usual this year due to the cold weather in winter dormancy. The spring, however, brought intense heat during berry enlargement stage, leading to smaller berries, reduced cluster weight and ultimately more concentrated flavors for most varietals. As harvest approached in late August, most vineyards experienced an average cluster count, with a lower yield due to small berry size.
Winemaker Notes
Notes of citrus and spiced apple highlight toasty oak and butter pecan aromas. This wine’s nice depth of fruit, full texture and balanced acidity make it a welcome accompaniment to food — particularly salmon fi lets, roasted chicken and pasta with a light butter cream sauce. Medium bodied with a smooth, creamy style through the finish.
